Applying for the O1B Visa
- Filing the petition: The employer should start the application process by filling I-29 Form to the USCIS. The form should be filed and applied for at least 45 days before the scheduled date for work in the United States.
- Filing Form DS-160: It is the form that all visa applicants should fill out for the visa. The application requires specifying the purpose and duration of the visit to the United States. When you have finished filling out the form, you will receive a confirmation code later used in the application process.
- Paying the Visa Fee: The cost of applying for the O1B visa is $190. You might also have to incur additional fees along with the application fee. It will depend on the country of residence of the applicant.
